As Credit Limits International / TCM UK have their offices based in Faversham and are actively involved with their local community it is fitting that they chose Faversham Umbrella as the beneficiary of our charity auction.
Faversham Umbrella is a registered Charity whose mission is to promote health, wellbeing and connection across the local area. The charity offers a safe, inclusive and friendly environment where individuals can build confidence, develop new skills and find companionship. This is achieved by offering support to their local community by providing a vibrant and safe environment. Working together to help increase independence, self-esteem and confidence. Providing friendships, activities and training. They provide facilities and activities for everyone, in a safe and non-judgmental way, for companionship, friendship and support.
This is a simple but effective way to bring people together. Faversham Umbrella manages to reduce social isolation through free activities which promote upskilling, social engagement, and a renewed sense of purpose and self-confidence. They also offer training programmes to boost employability as well as volunteering opportunities. Their community café provides affordable meals in a warm friendly space, including a Pay-It-Forward option for those in need. They have a number of spaces of various shapes and sizes which organisations and clubs can hire at very competitive rates to host their events. .
The charity auction took place on Thursday evening 8 May 2025 at the Law Society, Chancery Lane, London. The evening was opened by Pierre Haincourt (TCM UK) who welcomed all participants and thanked them for the gifts they brought from their countries and introduced Becky Duffy, Centre Manager at Faversham Umbrella. Becky introduced the charity and thanked all present for their participation and looked forward to the evening.
Whilst our annual congress caters for our global group business it also allows our members from different parts of the world to renew friendships, discuss business and opportunities for the coming year, we continue to dedicate one evening solely to our group’s commitment to social responsibility through the auction. The evening provides delegates and their partners time to relax and enjoy an evening of joy, friendship and the excitement of outbidding each other to take home an item from a fellow members country that will remind them of the evening and their contribution to the charity.
Our auction was again conducted by our accomplished auctioneers Amir Erez (TCM USA) and Pierre Haincourt (TCM UK). After participants spent time viewing all items on display, they enjoyed a superb meal the auction commenced with all participants enjoying the atmosphere created by the auctioneers and the banter between participants as they outbid colleagues to get their desired items . A truly memorable evening had by all who now look forward to our next meeting to be held in Istanbul, Turkey in May 2026.
Our hosts Pierre and Clair Haincourt owners of Credit Limits International / TCM UK presented a cheque for £18 701.25 representing the funds raised at our auction to Becky and her team at Faversham Umbrella.
