REYKJAVIK, Iceland (TCM Newsroom) — The TCM Group’s 23rd World Congress and Annual General Meeting was held in the beautiful city of Buenos Aires from 14th May 2018 to 17th May 2018 and was hosted by our member Sintesis/ TCM Argentina.

Our hosts chose the magnificent Alvear Palace Hotel for the event which commenced with a gala dinner held in the Regence room, being a fitting start to the congress.

Our partners from all over the world joined us in Argentina as our annual congress is one of the ways in which our members meet to review our past year’s achievements and to look forward to the new year’s objectives. We also elected our board of directors who will drive the group for the year ahead.

Our time in Buenos Aires allowed us to sample many bottles of great Argentinian wine with our excellent meals complemented by our warm and attentive hosts who made us feel totally at home in their city.

This year we again reached another milestone in our history with the implementation of our TCM Guarantee Fund which came into effect on 1 April 2018. This project has taken over 4 years to develop as it is a first of its kind in our industry, our objective of the TCM Guarantee Fund is to protect our members’ internal settlements between themselves and settlements between other members and external clients.

We expanded our reach in terms of partners and implemented additional aids for marketing of our group for our members. We enjoyed a memorable presentation on Neuromarketing – Cognitive Economics which introduced us to the practical effects in sales, loyalty and communication. We also reviewed out internal marketing strategies and agreed on updates and future digital offerings going forward.

We will invest in further developments to our TCM platform being our private exchange network which provides our client with the added benefit of data security and comfort that their invoices, contracts and any other documentation provided to the TCM Group will be totally protected whilst transmitted between our partners. Furthermore, TCM’s objective will remain as it has always been to create a one-stop shop for companies, organisations, and individuals who are in need of international credit management solutions and global commercial and consumer debt recovery services.

We conduct an annual quality survey amongst our partners and celebrate our top performers as ranked by their colleagues.

Our group’s Vision remains “To be number 1 in global debt collection and recovery, to reverse the culture of tardy receivables payment in international trade.”

Supported by our Mission “To safeguard the health of our clients’ cash flow, and their business relations with their clients, by leveraging local debt collection expertise together with specialist knowledge in global debt collection, cross-border receivables recovery, and international credit reporting for all economic zones, all client types, all debt sizes. To provide premier quality services in global debt collection and global credit management, conducted with integrity, cost-effectiveness, and best results.”

One of the major benefits in dealing with the TCM group rests in our vast experience in global debt recoveries which has taught us the value of turning local expertise into a global solution to what was an extremely difficult job for international credit managers, who were faced with the daunting task of international debt collection and recovery which is one of the most complicated and costly tasks their business was faced with. Our solution is simple, we provide our international clients with “local partners who speak the debtor’s language, understand local cultures and operate on local time zones, are globally savvy and the most suitable entities to tackle the complex global debt collection challenges our clients face”.

“Money knows no borders – neither do we” is synonymous with the TCM Group and this is reinforced by our representation through our 39 Members who cover an additional 50 countries, 5 Associate Member, 87 Agents and 19 Service providers placing us in a unique position to deliver fast, effective solutions to the complex challenges of your global debt recovery problem—all on a ‘No Win, No Fee’ basis.

In recognition of our dedicated members we presented our members with plaques confirming their membership to the TCM Group as well as their attendance to our annual World Congresses.

As has become customary at our annual TCM Group World Congresses we continued with our social awareness programme, through our charity auction which was dedicated to raising funds for the Casa Garraham Foundation. The evening was a great success with all our members out-bidding each other for the items on auction, resulting in us raising US$18 000 which will go towards purchasing essential equipment for the hospital that is a beneficiary of the Casa Garraham Foundation.

At the end of the conference we spent an incredible weekend at the Iguazu Falls, where we experienced the most amazing unforgettable trip to some of the 257 individual falls that make up the Iguazu Falls. We experienced the falls in true fashion by taking a boat trip up the river to the base of the falls and were taken right up to the cascade, all getting soaking wet in the process! The Iguazu Falls are one of the new natural wonders of the world – an experience never to be forgotten.

We look forward to our next World Congress which will be held in Seoul, South Korea from 22nd April 2019 to 25th April 2019.

Thank you and regards
